Teresa of Avila (1515-1582) talks to God after her leg is broken when a cart overturns:

You treat Your friends

no wonder You have

so few

Teresa was canonized in 1622. Her feast day is October 15.

praised by a novice,

she asks, "What do you think

I am – a saint?"
