Easter

Easter
the scandal
resurrected

I wish I could be more joyous on this day, but the scandals in my beloved Church have taken their toll.

On the other hand, in some translations, Paul says the crucifixion of Jesus is "a scandal to the Jew and folly to the heathen." (1 Corinthians 1:23) And that scandal was made whole by the resurrection.

I wish you a joyous Easter.

abba means the same
as papa

"abba" is the name by which, according to the New Testament, Jesus addressed his heavenly Father. It's an informal word, suggesting intimacy and love: Comparable to "dad," "daddy," "papa."

"papa" is also Italian for pope. The pope is often referred to by Catholics as the Holy Father.
