hi

It's been an incredibly busy month, mostly for good reasons, which is why I've been out of touch since April 3. In the interim, this took first place in the First International Kukai for April 2012

park bench . . .
sparrow after sparrow
the long day passes

Found that bench & Sparrow haiku too. I did like it. :-)

This one memorizes me "world's longest bench" located in Oskarshamn (?) Sweden; in the long bench sailors' wifes sitting and wait for their husbands sail back to harbor...

a long bench -
some sparrows walking,
fluttering ...

And as -M said; feels good to read you again!

Congratulations on your win. This haiku is stunning in its simplicity and depth at the same time. the effort I and John Daleiden put in this international kukai was worth it:))
