Today, January 6, is the Feast of the Epiphany, celebrating the visit of the Magi to the infant Jesus. Practices vary, but, where I come from, the day marks the end of the Christmas season, or Yuletide, and signals the time to take down trees, ornaments, and lights.

HE'S BACK

softly falling snow

As the new year gets underway, I begin by wishing all a happy one. Thanks for visiting and for your expressions of concern at my extended absence. I should be able to put in more frequent and regular appearances starting now. And, for my fellow bloggers, I'll be stopping by soon.

This poem, which was first published in Failed Haiku, arises from an observation during the time my wife Pat was commencing treatment for breast cancer. All is going well. Women, don't neglect those mammograms!
