One more honor

This haiku, which has been previously posted at this blog, has recently been recognized as one of the ten most popular haiku to appear in The Heron's Nest in the year 2011

the difference
a sparrow makes –
bare branches

On the basis of four poems published in the same journal over the year, I have been identified as one of the year's "popular poets."

The complete archives of The Heron's Nest are available online. Go to www.theheronsnest.com

A comment I intended to post has apparently gone astray, so if you don't see a comment you sent, my thanks and apologies.

Encore un très beau haïku! Je m'essaie avec une traduction :

la différence
que peut faire un moineau -
des branches nues

ou

ce qu'un moineau
peut changer -
des branches nues

Which one do you prefer ?

now and then some sparrows seen here, too!

snowy hedge -
a sparrow commenting
it's friend

Thanks, Polona.

Good translations, Monika. I prefer the first, because it doesn't claim the sparrow changes anything – just that it makes a difference.

tikkis, you remind me of one I wrote a few years ago

hedge full of sparrows
is all that chatter
about me

If I remember right, I posted it here, and you said "Yes!"

It was not me but Mikaelah! Now I left a short comment there!

Copied it also here:

hedge

hedge full of sparrows—
is all that chatter
about me

That is copied from Bill. But today I left my comment:

sparrows
ceased talking -
it's my turn now?

A haiku that offers room for multiple interpretations.
Being known as an eastern sparrow, this haiku means alot to me. Can I post it on my blog, Bill?
