Easter
a spot of holy water
on my silk tie

Easter
I feel a twinge
in my genuflection

Easter Mass
I run into a friend
I thought was dead

"Come Holy Ghost"
as the church doors open
leaves in the wind*
*"Come Holy Ghost" is a traditional Catholic hymn, often sung at the end of Mass, as the doors are opening. This is not specifically an Easter ku, but I wrote it this morning, along with the others, and I hope it suggests spring.

Thanks for that sensitive reading, Angelika.
Much appreciated, John.
i love the whole set
I love the last one, as I think of the Holy Spirit as a whispering wind or breeze.
Thanks, polona.
Pat, John 3:8--"the wind bloweth where it listeth"
I like them all, but the third one made me laugh! Excellent, Bill.
I truly love all! Thanks Bill!
Thank you, Aurora and gautami.
#1 is good! You must put that tie in a very safe place! It's a holy one!
# 2: something wrong in your heart??
# 3 as haiku-shelf
but my favorite is # 4.
More like my knee, tikkis. Thanks for the comments.
Note to Bill from Carol:
Love your Easter haiku.
While you were at mass in New York, I was singing masses in Chicago, resulting in the following humble thought:
Stations of the cross,
Easter vigil, Easter mass,
Singers getting hoarse
Thank you, Carol. I hope your voice has recovered. I think "There Will Be Animals in Heaven," which I've just read at you blog, is a wonderful poem.
