one for today

Definitions vary, but in my personal inner calendar, March 1 is the first day of spring.

last night's snow
washed away by rain . . .
this morning sun

Totally agreed! Rain after snow, after rain, after snow, we endure anything for a warmer sun :)

March rain:
the splash of my son's boots
seems funny

I agree. Once Feb.'s gone my mood brightens.

It was very generous of Mother Nature to give me exactly what I needed for this haiku. (Later in the day, the sky darkened, and there were a few snow flurries, but that's another story.)

Thanks, polona, dana-maria, and pat. Dana-maria, your ku is delightful.

Yes! We had also snow, sleet, rain and some sun! The spring!

A snowfall.
Old snow is melting --
approaching spring!

"A new snow is killing the old one."
(We have this kind of saying here in Finland.)
