Thank you, my friends, for coming by, and for your expressions of concern at my extended absence from the blog. All is well, and I hope to be around more from now on.

But the blog is giving me problems. I can't access the list of blogs I use to visit you, and I have also run into problems posting; I couldn't post at all earlier today, and I'm sending this from my Kindle, because my Mac is still not cooperating. I'll see what, if anything, can be done. Watch this space.
