Epiphany . . .
explaining their newborn
to the dog
On January 6 many Christians observe the Feast of the Epiphany, celebrating the encounter of the three Kings, or magi, with the baby Jesus, as recorded in Matthew 2.
And maybe the dog smiles and says: I like babies but I couldn't eat a whole one.
Sincerely hope it's not a Rottweiler. There was a fairly recent case in the paper where one of these devil dogs belonging to the police murdered a cop's 90 year old grandmother while she was alone in the house with the beast.

A good one, Bill. Dogs seem to understand a new member of the family pretty readily.

Thanks, Doug and Adelaide.
Yes, they are thoroughly domesticated.
I mean dogs, not babies.

A very good one, Bill - a nice chuckle on this cold evening.
