the Salvation Army gave us a lot growing up in the projects when I was a kid.
I asked the bellringer if he heard that sound in his sleep! (he said yeah)
I was a Depression baby (1933), and I was brought up to love the Salvation Army. As Gene points out, they don't just talk the talk. Long may they ring! Thanks, everyone.
Flurries of snow . . . and of sounds . . . . apparently.
That's the kind of thing I had in mind, anon. Thanks.
