Its nice, but makes me sad for some reason, Bill...May be I find myself sad during sunsets -- I am a morning person :)

But yes, in winter, sunrise and sunsets are equally grey -- Though i love foggy mornings :)

wishes,
devika

its lovely ... the layout is great - it follows the setting sun and there is a great wordplay in 'sun watching time' ....

the old folks sets the tone
it is time for sun watching
or ... watching time

lovely

I think there is a sadness in it, Devika.

Thanks, Gina. A very sensitive reading.

it does make me sad, Bill....But the 'old folks home' works the other way :)

I wish they all went to watch a sunrise at the beach :)

No seriously...when am at the beach back home -- there's a veteran team --all those retired men in the colony-- they gather either at the beach or the park...and then crack jokes and then its resounding laughter....

even here in parks -- we have those jovial old folks....

And I am reminded of that old song 'No Woman No Cry'! :)

Oh a long note -- but then you know me! :)

wishes,
devika

Wow...powerful and sad and wonderful...reflection on life can be so bitter and so sweet. You captured it perfectly.

Staring at the window
the sun
used to shine in

(I've got a poet-friend who is living in Utsjoki, Finnish Lappland. 70 Degs North.

They will see the sun during the next week, but then, when setting down, the sun will not rise until January 2010...)

Kristin, Tikkis, and Gillena, thanks for the visit, and, Devika, thanks for coming back.

I hope your friend plans to do something besides staring at the window between now and January, Tikkis.
