solitude . . .
turning out the lights
I let in the moon

Congrats, Bill. Moonlight is a much better accompaniment for solitude than electric lights.
Well done.

Bill - This is a beautiful glimpse into your genius as a poet. No wonder I look to you as a poetic standard.

I've been away too long Bill. Little time lately for writing haiku, let alone the pleasure of reading the work of others.

Lovely to come back and peruse what I've missed. This one stands out. That sense that certain things stand out more when something else has been removed. So true of most of life.
