great haiku ... in the spring where I grew up in northern Wisconsin, the seemingly dead flies would arise, shake themselves, and fly off!

Yeah, enjah, I admit to a grudging admiration for winter flies. A most gratifying comment, tikkis.
I guess they're around all year long. :)
