I like that line one can be taken two ways; great economy of words. A fine image--the puppy and the leaves dancing together--life and death in a tango. Very nice haiku!

What kind of puppy, may I ask?

Is it doing a particular dance?

very nice haiku, bill. i think that's what draws me to try to write them myself...seeing folks such as yourself convey so much meaning with scant few words. it's a challenge, which i will return to...

thanks again for the read.

anon: puppy is interacting gracefully with leaves blown by the wind--hence, "dances."
