Cell phones and cars. I think cell phones are becoming the real companions of people these days.I hope that character in your haiku is not talking on it while she's trying out her new car...
floots: Everyman's daughter, I suspect. And, Liz, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but, yes, she was talking on her cell phone and driving at the same time, which is against the law around here. That's the sight that inspired the senryu.
Yes, definitely my daughter, too--and occasionally, though not often, even me.
