made me smile, then made me think... which means it's very very good

I think I would prefer it, and, perhaps, identify more strongly with the poem/poet if you'd written "we're". Did you consider that?Congrats on publication in SH...it's an outstanding journal.
After numerous (I won't tell how many)readings I got it! I often wonder if the artist painted what they interpret.
The charm of haiku: You see what you see as you read; you, are your 'tour guide' through this art._m

Good one. I prefer all art to be a joint interpretation between the creator and the audience. Each has something to bring to the moment.
