Like most of your writings, this is so simple, yet says so much. Before stumbling across your site, I never really liked Haiku all that much. The form always seemed constricting to me. But you have a brilliant, efficient way of using spare language to paint the outlines of vivid pictures. Imagination and experiental memories fill in the details. In some ways, that makes the "experience" of your poems more personal, and interactive. I admire your talent, and its application.
To some extent, I identify with what (I think?) you are doing. I try to write as succinctly as possible. To say as much possible with as few words as necessary. You accomplish this feat regularly. So much of what I read as "poetry" in contemporary journals seems dense and ponderous -- like a Rubik's cube that requires a secret decoder ring to decipher it. You are a contrasting breath of fresh air to all of that. And, to think, you only started writing relatively recently!
ap: Thanks very much for your kind words. I appreciate your visits, and, as you know,I'm a frequent visitor at your blog. I'm especially pleased that what you see in my work is close to what I'm aiming for. Be seeing you soon at your blog.

I had similar thoughts when I saw a cat sleeping under a park bench on my way to work. :-)
Liz: Thanks for dropping by. Let's hope your cat doesn't meet my robin.
