Explaining the inexcusable.
Sometimes, Vaughn, explanation seems the easy way out. But understanding is essential. Nothing comes easy.
Can't do it: explain it away, I mean. Just like all the other nonsensical atrocities in other parts of the world. Very nicely put.

The why/hows never get answered. Not for something like this.
Thanks for the comments, Pat and gautami. By the way, "33" is an error, since there were 32 victims at Virginia Tech. But when I noticed it, I decided to let it stand in the hope that the validity of this extends beyond this one tragic event.
