tree in the yard

tree in the yard
at autumn's end

Thanks, polona. Yes, the trees seem often to know something we don't.

Dear Bill,

Thank you for mentioning my name in connection with this wonderful haiku! Only problem is, now everyone's probably going to figure out that my 89th birthday is next month. And here I've been trying to keep my age a secret....:)

Oh well, I've been outed.:)

You do good work, Bill.

Thanks, aurora. You do, too, especially for someone your age.

For those who are busy writing all sorts of salacious scenarios, aurora had a fine poem at tinywords.com, and my ku was directly inspired by hers.

tikkis, as old as it feels, just like you and me.
